Every great recipe starts somewhere — ours started in a small home kitchen in Amsterdam, with recipes passed down through generations of our family in Bangladesh.
Where it began
Habiba started making mishti for family and friends, the same way her mother and grandmother did back home. What began as small batches for birthdays and Eid celebrations quickly grew as word spread — friends told friends, and soon strangers were asking too.
Staying true to tradition
As demand grew, one thing never changed: every sweet is still made by hand, in small batches, using traditional techniques and fully halal ingredients. No shortcuts, no preservatives — just the same care you'd expect from a home kitchen.
A growing community
Today, Habiba's Delight serves customers across Amsterdam and the surrounding areas, from weekly orders to large celebration platters. But at heart, it's still the same mission: bringing authentic, homemade Bengali sweets to anyone who wants a taste of home.
